The PAZON SURE-FIRE Ignition System is the worry-free solution to keeping your classic bike on the road.

What motorcycles does it fit?
Triumph/Bsa Single Cylinder Motorcycles with 12 Volt electrics (positive or negative earth)
& points in the side casing, including:
Triumph T20/M (Cub)
BSA C15, B25, B40

Distributor models
For C15/B40/Tiger Cub models fitted with a distributor, we recommend fitting our Energy Booster ignition unit.

This system is not recommended for Energy Transfer (ET) models, as the ET system can be problematic. For stable and reliable electrics, where possible we recommend upgrading the ET system to 12 volts (new alternator and electronic rectifier/regulator) and installing a 12 volt ignition system.

Important note for owners of big single/high compression models (e.g. B44/B441/B50):
The Sure Fire system requires a minimum cranking speed before sparks are produced (typically 100-150rpm). This kit can be fitted to these models, but due to the potential of difficulty in kick-starting, we recommend fitting a digital ignition system, e.g. Smart Fire PD1 system. Due to the triggering method, our digital systems fire from zero rpm upwards, so more suited to bikes that are more difficult to kick-start.

SURE-FIRE completely replaces the points, condenser and mechanical advance unit (ATU).
The result is easier starting, smoother running and less maintenance.

What's wrong with my Sure Fire ignition on my BSA B50?
It starts first kick and I don't have to kick it over really fast.
People keep telling me they should go to sleep and are slow to startup again, and they should have a slow speed module or they wont work with a B50.
I mean a B50 shouldn't start so easy and run so well, especially at low revs.
On second thoughts I'll keep my "faulty" unit and put up with it.

I was able to fit the sensor unit without removing the timing cover. I also connected a green light to the power feed of the unit so I know when the key is turned on and power is going to the unit.

"While building my BSA B50 vintage race bike I did a bit of research on ignition systems and a few friends recommended I look at the Pazon system.  I wanted to get away from the old Lucas points system and get something more reliable.  I bought the Surefire system which was easy to install and setup.  After a total engine rebuild I went to start the bike and it started first try and ran perfectly.  I never touched the ignition settings since I installed it.  I raced my BSA for the first time in 2008 and I got a surprising 3rd place in our VRRA (Canadian Vintage Road Racing Association) North Bay race and ended up 4th out of 16 competitors in the P1-500 championship.  I would recommend the Pazon system to anybody rebuilding a vintage bike, it's one less thing to worry about and will make that old bike much more fun to ride."

I'd previously spent months trying to get the timing right on my BSA Starfire.  In the end I grimly accepted that modern fuels and additives must mean I would always suffer from overheating and pinking in some part or other of the rev range.  I became resigned to treating the bike gently for ever more and always using low throttle openings.

Almost as a last resort I bought your electronic ignition and was simply stunned at the transformation in the bike.  It now runs like a turbine all through the rev range, with much more power, no overheating, much easier starting and infinitely better idling.
A much happier machine basically and one which now likes to be ridden properly.

Timing worries?
These are a thing of the past with the SURE-FIRE trigger assembly.

Have you ever fitted an ignition system where the wires don't reach?
SURE-FIRE has extra long wires from the ignition module - 1metre long, allows the unit to be fitted almost anywhere.
SURE-FIRE does not have the connection problems associated with other systems, the wires run directly from the module to the pickup. All you need is a small screwdriver to make these connections.
